Servants of Justice LLC is founded and owned by Brittany R. Myatt, Esq. As a former special educator, Brittany brings compassion and understanding to every person who seeks legal services through Servants of Justice LLC. Brittany previously worked for private law firms where she gained experience in litigation and client representation. She also was a federal worker with the Department of Education: Office of Civil Rights, when her whole office was shutdown. This firm is a reflection of Brittany's heart to help people experiencing discrimination, harassment, or retaliation throughout the education system or in local courts. As a Maryland resident and Hood College and Johns Hopkins Alumna, she strives to bring hope, equity, and justice to a community she loves in addition to serving the nation's capital.
To truly understand Brittany’s heart for the work that she does, we encourage you to see her LinkedIn profile and posts about education equity. Brittany is outspoken regarding a students’ right to a fair and equitable education. In March 2025, Brittany spoke at a rally in front of the US Department of Education headquarters in Washington, D.C. The video of her speech is linked here.
Part of Brittany’s speech was quoted in a New York Times article when she stated: “Civil Rights should not be a twenty-first century debate.” The article is linked here. Brittany was featured in a second New York Times article, linked here, that detailed the experiences of federal workers and the good work they formerly performed for the government.
In a perfect world, Brittany’s job would not exist, and all students would receive equitable services and be able to be their true selves throughout all stages of their educational career. However, that is not the reality we face today, and Brittany is here to serve you and partner alongside you whatever your situation may be.
